Cedar Crest Independent Baptist Church has many ministries that you can get involved in — whether it be teaching, helping, visiting, or just attending a fellowship with other believers. Find a ministry where the Lord would want you to serve!
Ladies Fellowship Meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month. The meeting starts with a greeting, then announcements, game or craft, words of encouragement, prayer time, offering, special speaker, and a time of food and fellowship. Join the ladies of Cedar Crest as this ministry is geared especially for women!
Men’s Prayer Breakfasts are held at various times throughout the year. Each meeting begins with a hearty breakfast followed by fellowship, prayer, and a brief lesson. Come join the men of the church to enjoy a hot breakfast and time of fellowship!
Bus Ministry meets each Saturday at 10:00 AM. Workers visit and invite youth & adults to Sunday and Wednesday services. Van workers will pick up those who need a ride on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings and then take them back home after the services. If you need a ride to church, please call 814-542-8251 to make arrangements.
Church Choir sings at Sunday Morning Worship Service. Practice is at 4:30 PM on Sunday evenings. Come listen as the choir ministers through music. Cedar Crest also has special music and piano offertories at the services. If you know how to sing or play — the Music Ministry could use you!
There are many opportunities to get involved in youth ministries – Sunday School classes, Junior Church, Kids Club, Vacation Bible School, & Camp. Find a spot so you can make a difference in the life of a young person!
Teens meet for Sunday School class, Wednesday evening class, and participate in various events and outings throughout the year. There are weekly teen trainings on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 PM at Cedar Crest.
Nursery is open for all services, while Toddler Nursery is available at Sunday Morning Service. Workers are needed!
The Outreach Ministry meets special needs as they arise. It may be an encouragement visit, sending a sunshine basket, making a phone call, sending out cards, preparing meals for funerals, or any other way that they can be used to help others in a time of need.
Church Soul Winning/Visitation meets each Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM (spring/summer months) or Saturday mornings at 10:00 AM (fall/winter months) to reach the lost in the surrounding area or to make a visit. Come join in as we reach the Mount Union area for Christ!
The CD/Tape Ministry…..Each message is recorded onto CD’s and is available, free of charge, to those who would like to have a CD of the message. There is a sign-up sheet on the back bulletin board to specify which service CD you would like.
The Widows Ministry periodically meets for meals, outings, and day trips. Both ladies and gentlemen are invited for these gatherings.
We are currently in need of interpreters for the Deaf Ministry.
Each month boxes are set up on the back table for those who are attending college. Notes or small gifts can be placed in the boxes which will be sent out to the college students as a way to encourage them while they are away from home.
Cedar Crest Independent Baptist Church is mission minded! The church supports about 50 missionaries all over the world and here in the United States. Thirty percent of each week’s offering is allotted to their support, plus Faith Promise giving and meeting of special needs as they arise.
